Getting to Know You (Ep. 1)

Love wants you.
Love thinks of you.
Love knows who you are.
Love says, “Here I am! Will you be with me? Together?”
Love speaks your language.
Love IS your first language.

Do you know who Love is?
Your heart knows Love’s Voice.
———- Intro music: “Battle Dance” song by Rhythm Scott

Inside of always, Love was Love. Love has always been Love, always been with Love and will always be Love.

Once upon a time, Love thought of us, Love made the best place for us to live and thrive. They Love made us and put us there. It was just right. Nothing wrong anywhere. We were free! Free to be with Love and with each other. And we were Free not to be. It was possible to disconnect from Love.

Love said if you decide not to listen to me and disconnect, you will cut yourself off of me, the Vine. You will die because Love is also Life.

We did decide to disconnect when our Enemy suggested it. That is the F-bomb. The Fall. For all of us then, it is not possible TO connect to Love.  We are disconnected from Love and dead because of it. There is nothing we can do about it.

Then Love came to us in person as Jesus. Jesus lived among us, us walking dead and made a way for us to connect to Love again.

First, He lived – always listening to Love, never disconnecting, always living love and giving love.  He made his connect to Love clear by making the dead, alive.

Our Enemy suggested to Jesus that He disconnect from Love too but Jesus did not. Then, Jesus died on purpose, following Love’s plan and resurrected back to life.

This defeated our Enemy.

This defeated death.

This makes it possible to connect to Love again by undoing all our disconnections from Love in the past, present and future. This will make us alive and truly ourselves as Love gives us the belief to receive it.

The beginning of living is to say, “Yes,” to Love when Love comes looking for you in the tomb of yourself. One believing, “Yes,” to Love’s invitation secures the forever of being alive. And at the same time, one believing, “Yes,” begins the restoration process. The process of bringing all the shattered parts of our disconnected hearts into connection with Love, Living Love like Love does for all of this lifetime.

Even in this restoration process we are free to disconnect from Love but one day Jesus will come to us a second time. When Jesus comes again, He will complete the restoration. We will be as we were meant to be completely: Living by Love, with Love, for Love, Forever.

This is God’s heart.

Selected Lyrics from The King and I: Getting to Know You

It’s a very ancient saying
But a true and honest thought
That if you become a teacher
By your pupil you’ll be taught.

Getting to know you

Getting to know you
Getting to know all about you
Getting to like you
Getting to hope you like me

Getting to know you
Putting it my way
But nicely
You are preciously
My cup of tea

Getting to know you
Getting to be free and easy
When I am with you
Getting to know what to say

Haven’t you noticed
Suddenly I’m bright and breezy?
Because for all the beautiful and new
Things I’m learning about you
Day by day
