The Way Back Home is from the Inside Out (Ep. 7)

The first disconnection from Love may go unnoticed but it sets in motion a snowball of wandering and skewed perceptions. But Love pursues and offers the way back home sooner rather than later.

Love delighted to make us, to make us in the image of Love Himself. To have hearts that ran on Love alone. To endlessly pour love from our hearts and never run out.

Love gives birth from the inside out.

Love can do anything you know - far more than [we] could ever imagine or guess or request in [our] wildest dreams! [Love] does it not by pushing us around but by workingn within us, [Love’s] Spirit deeply and gently within us. Ephesians 3:20 (MSG)

Guard: to keep safe from harm or danger protect, watch over; keeps a protective or restrainin watch.
”God gave you the mind to protect the heart, not usurp it.”

Are we owning our responsibility over our hearts, bringing all of our abilities to it? Example: Bring every kind word given to you from any source to your heart (James 1:17).

  • God is growing us up and forming mature love inside us.

  • Disconnect from God will give birth to death and continue to bring fruit of death in a snowballing growth until it is interupted by Love and reconnected. Our worldview is shaped by our connection or disconnection from God.

  • Our hearts give birth to love and life only when connected to Love, who is God, only by orbiting our hearts around God.

  • Home is where the heart is - it’s where you are loved.

The human cycle that loops in this chapter of eternity is Connected to God, Disconnected (Fall), Reconnected, and Restored. Let us have short cycles, and longer times of connection.

  • Flags of disconnection from God: hiding in shame, blaming in anger, and fear. But because of Jesus, there is always a way back home.

  • Watch your heart to keep it from danger - the danger of what is coming out of it.
